Important FAQs to read before using the Legacy Uranium Battle Sim
What makes it different from the Custom Showdown Server?
The Legacy Uranium Battle Simulator is not as feature complete an experience as the Custom Showdown. There are elements of it that are tied to the full game, so updates to it are dependent on the game devs pushing the updates that UCC's Staff code. Updates are much slower as a result, there are various bugs that have yet to be fixed which impact gameplay significantly, Feral Nuclear and Mystery Gift versions of pokemon are unavailable for use, and any custom clauses that UCC has created to balance the tiers are not currently enforced by the simulator in any fashion. Team and user data is all saved server side however, so unlike on Showdown, you can build a team on the desktop version and pull up that exact same team on the mobile version of the site later.
What kinds of bugs does the legacy sim have?
Some custom moves, abilities, and effects exclusive to Uranium do not function as originally intended, as well as a few effects not exclusive to Uranium. The move Substitute is also bugged, crashing battles whenever it is used (and thus, leading to its ban until it can be fixed). Any significant changes to what a pokemon is capable of on the Legacy Sim will be noted on the pokemon's analysis on this website.
I don't mind a few bugs and self enforcing competitive rules, so how do I access the Legacy Sim?
You will need to access a save file on the actual game, then go talk to the right most NPC on the second floor of any Pokemon Center to access the Online Lobby. Obtain your Battle ID from the Online Lobby by clicking the 'Battling' option, and then use the ID as a password to log in to the Legacy Sim (DO NOT SHARE IT).
